The Salton Sea 2007/2009

From sunrise to sunset at the Salton Sea, California. These are photos from 2 trips to the sea, the first in March 2007 (taken with the Pentax K10D/Sigma 50-500mm lens) and the second in Feb 2009 using the Canon 40D/100-400 L IS, while the landscapes were primarily taken with the Pentax K10D and 50-200mm lens.

Catalina Island With the Pentax K10D

The Four Preps sang "26 Miles Across the Sea", but in fact Santa Catalina Island off the southern California coast is only 19 miles from the mainland.
